I graduated from CSU Dominguez Hills in 2013 with a degree in Psychology and Marketing. While in school, I started working as a dance teacher, helping a lot of my dance studios put together their huge recitals. After spending a couple of years coordinating dance recitals with up to 350 kids, I decided to expand my horizons and go into wedding and event planning.

I have gained experience in the wedding industry by having the pleasure of working for a bridal store, DJ Company, other wedding coordination companies, and just helping out with a lot of my close friend's weddings. On top of being an extremely professional and well-organized coordinator, I am also a dance teacher. My experience as a dance teacher is with people of all ages, from 18 months old to 75 years old! So if you're looking for someone to put together a great first dance, bridal party dance, quinceanera dance, or parent dance, I'm your girl!

Outside of event planning, I enjoy spending quality time with my two beloved dogs, Freddie and Sadie—who will always be my "puppies," regardless of their age. I'm also a big fan of indulging in sweets, exploring new destinations, and cherishing moments with my family, particularly my son, Dylan, and my husband, Blake.

I take great pride in what I do and really strive to eliminate all the stress from planning a huge event while also getting the outcome that you envision. I have been complimented numerous times that I go above and beyond and that my calm demeanor has helped settle even the most nervous of brides and grooms. I look forward to being able to meet with you individually, and show you how we will make YOUR dream wedding a reality.

Caitlin Harjes

Coordinator | Office Manager

Caitlin joined the team after gaining event planning experience from The New York Institute of Art & Design. Her favorite part of a wedding is the end of the ceremony when the couple has just shared their first kiss and they exit down the aisle as newlyweds. Caitlin says, “You can see the love and joy on everyone’s face as they cheer for them!" When she's not at an event, you can most likely find her directing musicals, playing with someone’s dog, or in comfy clothes staying inside with a good movie.

Leslie Covarrubias

Coordinator | Assistant

Leslie joined the team after gaining event planning experience from helping a lot of her family and friend's with their weddings! Her favorite part of a wedding is seeing the spouse at the altar watching their partner walk down the aisle. When she's not at an event, you can most likely find her visiting new places, or working on a new home project.

Rebecca Dew

Assistant

Rebecca joined the Exceptionally Yours Weddings & Events team after experiencing the magic firsthand as one of our very own brides. With a deep appreciation for the unique details that make each celebration special, one of her favorite parts of any wedding is discovering the couple’s creativity—especially when it comes to their signature drinks. Outside of weddings, Rebecca stays on the move—whether she’s chasing after her free-spirited daughter, working out with fellow moms at the park, or unwinding with a little yoga. Her vibrant energy, personal insight, and genuine love for celebration make her an invaluable part of the team.

Soleil Lyon

Assistant

There’s something about the first dance that always gets Soleil. Watching the newlyweds share that quiet, love-filled moment is what she looks forward to most on a wedding day. When she’s not soaking up the magic at events, you’ll probably find her catching up on Bravo reality shows or hanging out with friends — ideally with her Frenchie, Bernie, close by and chapstick within reach. Soleil and her husband love spending time in the kitchen, and between the two of them, they’ve perfected more than a few go-to recipes. Warm, down-to-earth, and always up for a good laugh, Soleil brings an easygoing energy and genuine joy to every celebration she’s part of.
